No rasp, not too obnoxious unless you are WOT then it gets loud. . . but that is sort of the point. I have the same catback, and I want these headers because quality. . .

I feel like this should be a compliment. . . but I haven't bought the headers yet.

Hey I have an idea. You should go ahead and buy those headers.... now.

Yeah, but who will buy these then? Once I go back and work for a month, I will have enough for the wheels. I will probably get the headers in the summer, when I have the same full time job again. . . maybe sooner, if I get off my ass and get a job at school.

This. This is what I have been searching my whole life for. Something that really brought out the boxer burble without the full-on obnoxious ricer drone everybody around me does.
DO WANT

Nope. Impreza wagon owner. Entire exhaust is stock and what's kept me back is fear of getting douchey loud ricer pipes

Make sure they're unequal length headers like those pictured then. That'll help with the burble.

Makes sense, my first catback was really loud for a catback. I was hoping sugg it would be quieter(I got it cause it was cheap), but alas. Then I got the perrin exhaust and it is perfect, even with a hfc and nearly headerback exhaust it is so easy to daily drive or even do long trips in.
My suggestion, get an exhaust with a good resonator and a good muffler, you will be golden.
